May 2009: UUCL service auction

The service auction is our biggest fundraiser, and always fun. This year, we went for some elegance -- not easy to do in the semi-grungy cinder block building we rented at the county fairgrounds. But, some fabulous organizing and hard work pulled it off: we had real china, flatware, tablecloths, flowers and art (reproductions) on the walls.

Some of these folks clean up pretty nicely...
